Call For Submission

Calyx Distinctive Arts, founded by a group of professional artists with a collective vision and mutually supportive artistic goals, host art exhibition and sales twice annually in Calgary, Alberta. The directors of Calyx exhibit and sell their own work and welcome other qualified artists to participate in these events. Our next exhibition and sale will be held on Saturday October 18 and Sunday October 19, 2008. The submission deadline for this event is Monday August 11, 2008. We have secured a great exhibition space, share an enviable mailing list, and offer extremely competitive participation fees. We hope that you will join us.

Submissions will be reviewed and artists will be contacted by email with the jury’s decision by Friday August 22, 2008. A list of successful applicants will also be posted on our upcoming events web page. Please be prepared to attend a pre-sale informative meeting Wednesday October 1, 2008 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.

Fee Structure

Fixed Fee
Artists are required to pay a fixed and non-refundable fee of $100 (one hundred dollars) to secure their participation in the exhibition and sale.

Commission
In addition to the fixed fee described above, Calyx will retain an amount equal to 20% (twenty percent) of the cumulative sales for each artist.
