Jury Results - Calgary and Edmonton

Results of the jury will be sent to artists by email.

Submission Pick up and Contract Signing - Calgary and Edmonton

Declined artists collect their artwork.

Accepted artists are required to:

• Sign a participation contract in duplicate (artist receives one copy)
• Pay the fixed fee of $100 (one hundred dollars)
• Pick up invitations and posters for the sale
• Pick up any artwork submitted to Calyx for jury (documents and photos will not be returned)

***Artists participating in both Calgary and Edmonton spring or fall events may sign participation agreements for both events at either Calgary or Edmonton location.

Inventory Lists Due - Calgary and Edmonton

Artists must submit an itemized inventory list of artwork including Title or Description and Price of each piece of artwork to be brought to the sale no later than the date specified above. Please submit this list as an excel spreadsheet by email to calyx@shaw.ca. A sample inventory list, a blank template, and instructions will be emailed to all artists. Artists submitting lists after this date will be assessed a fee of $25 per day for every day this list is late - this fee will be deducted from the artist's cheque for artwork sold.

***Artists participating in both Calgary and Edmonton spring or fall events, please submit one inventory list that includes all artwork for both shows.

Pre-Sale Meeting for Artists New to Calyx - Calgary and Edmonton

Dates and Locations - TBA

Artists new to Calyx are asked to attend a pre-sale meeting and social in either Calgary or Edmonton. ***Artists partcipating in both Calgary and Edmonton spring or fall shows need only attend one pre-sale meeting in the city of their choice.

The purpose of this meeting is:

• To distribute price labels for artwork and sale day instructions
• To have artists sign up for specific duties on sale day
• To enable artists to meet each other before sale day
• To have each artist make a 1 - 2 minute presentation about their artwork (bring one piece with you to this meeting) and distribute a short (maximum one page) description of their art to the other artists - this will enable artists to readily discuss ALL of the artwork with clients on sale day

Sale Dates

Calgary - Saturday October 20 & Sunday October 21, 2012

Edmonton - Saturday November 3, 2012

A one or two day exhibition and sale with each artist participating on only ONE of the two days in each city. Artists must be available to participate either Saturday or Sunday and Calyx will assign each artist their day to ensure the best possible mix of artists/artwork and a strong and varied exhibition both days. All artists must be present and available for set-up, public sale hours, and for take-down and clean up on the day they are assigned.

Artists Receive Cheques

Within 30 days after the show dates - and often within one week!
