The Directors of Calyx Distinctive Arts are graduates of the BFA program of the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Bonnie Haughton Fibre Arts and Painting Bonnie’s paintings are composed of mixed media elements with texture being a primary focus where she makes full use of a palette knife and limited use of the paintbrush. Her work is rarely pre-planned, allowing for spontaneous image development. This technique results in a moderately abstracted image that invites the viewer to draw his or her own conclusions as to its meaning	GIA
Kellee Terpstra Painting Most often remarked on in Kellee’s art is the use of humour and spirit of play. Emotional content is key in her pieces; the sharing of an experience or an emotion between artist and viewer.	Octopus Rubescens
Carol Voyt Ceramics Carol uses earthenware clay and carefully formulated, non-toxic glazes. She creates forms that combine hand-building, wheel-throwing, and modeling techniques, and is inspired by the symbolism of working with the four elements of earth, air, water, and fire. She enjoys using strong colour, often in complementary pairs, to enhance the energy of the forms, and adds further complexity with surface texture, emphasizing tactile as well as visual appeal.
